Dental Cleans and Exams

Our dedicated hygienist performs thorough teeth cleans to remove plaque and tartar from all the nooks and crannies of a patient's mouth.

Initial hygiene appointments are 60 minutes, and new patient exams are 60 minutes. After these sessions are complete, we invite the patient to speak with Dr Henderson to review their needs, discuss their goals and develop a customised treatment strategy designed to meet their needs.

Diagnostics for Prevention and Treatment

Dr Henderson continuously seeks new opportunities to implement state-of-the-art technologies in our dental practice. Modern dental technology allows us to perform dental care with more efficiency, accuracy and comfort than ever before. We use digital and panoramic x-rays, 3-D cone beam imaging (CBCT) and OPG x-rays.

Our dental practice is one of the few in the area that uses CBCT and an OPG (Orthopantomogram). We use CBCT to view soft tissue, teeth, bone structure and nerve pathways, while the OPG scans a panoramic view of a patient's jaw and teeth. The CBCT and OPG provide us with necessary information on bone loss, wisdom teeth, jaw trauma, dental pain, orthodontic assessment and more.

Dr Chad Henderson

Dr Chad Henderson is the principal dentist at Bayside Family Dental Care. After a career in the IT industry as a graphic and web designer, Dr Henderson decided to return to school and pursue dentistry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Brunswick and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Upon graduating in 2010, Dr Henderson worked for the Canadian Armed Forces as a contracted civilian dentist until early 2013, when he and his wife decided to pursue ...
